Figure Drawings/Studies
My take on the figure sketch/study that was done on Adam's body from the "The Creation of Adam". I used regular canson and dipped it in coffee for that rustic look and feel, and sketched the body using a Sanguine pencil.
This is my drawing of my own hands, in which I focused on bringing out the details of them from an objective, artist's lens.
I was inspired by a Master's artwork of an old lady in her chair, and so I decided to recreate it with oil pastels to keep the color story cohesive, and used yellow canson as my background so that the colors pop more.
During my figure drawing course at my uni, model "Taha" was invited for a few lessons to give us an in-life reference for when we drew his portrait. This was especially helpful as I was able to focus on bringing out the textures of his hair and beard, and put emphasis on the shadows dancing across his face and clothes so people can recognize the angle he was in directly.
